This Privacy Policy explains how FluxPOS handles information through the public website, the admin portal, and the FluxPOS point-of-sale platform. It is intended to give operators, businesses, employees, and end customers a clear view of what is collected, how it is used, and where responsibility sits when FluxPOS is deployed for business operations.

1. Scope

  • the FluxPOS public website and landing pages;
  • the FluxPOS admin interface used by operators and business owners;
  • the FluxPOS web and Android point-of-sale applications; and

2. Roles and responsibility

FluxPOS may act as a platform provider, while each business using FluxPOS is responsible for the customer, employee, sales, and operational data it enters into the system. If a store using FluxPOS collected your information during a sale, that business remains responsible for how it collected and uses your information in its day-to-day operations.

3. Information we may collect

  • Business account data: business name, business email, owner or admin names, credentials, and configuration details.
  • Operational data: products, inventory-related values, pricing, tax settings, receipt settings, printer settings, sync records, shift closeout data, reports, and transaction logs.
  • Customer data entered by the business: customer names, phone numbers, email addresses, loyalty values, and purchase-related details where the business chooses to store them.
  • Employee data entered by the business: employee names, roles, contact details, PIN or password hashes, and activity linked to sales, refunds, voids, and administration.
  • Device and technical data: application version, printer identifiers, sync status, error logs, IP addresses, browser metadata, and other diagnostics necessary to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the platform.

4. How information is used

  • to authenticate users and control access to business and admin tools;
  • to process sales, receipts, customer records, reports, and business administration;
  • to sync data between local devices and server infrastructure;
  • to maintain service reliability, audit actions, diagnose failures, and protect the platform against abuse or unauthorized access;
  • to generate operational outputs such as receipts, closeout reports, and recovery logs; and
  • to improve platform stability, performance, and support quality.

5. Cookies, sessions, and local storage

The FluxPOS website and admin interface may use session cookies to maintain authenticated admin sessions. The web and native POS applications may also use local storage or device storage to support offline-first operation, cached records, saved settings, and recovery after network interruptions. This local storage is used to keep the platform operational and not to build unrelated advertising profiles.

6. Sharing and disclosure

FluxPOS does not sell personal information. Information may be disclosed where necessary to host, secure, maintain, or troubleshoot the platform, to comply with legal obligations, or to protect the rights, operations, or safety of the platform, the businesses using it, or affected individuals.

7. Data retention

Data may be retained for as long as needed to operate the platform, preserve business records, maintain audit trails, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and support legitimate operational recovery such as sync replay, reprint history, and business reporting. Each business using FluxPOS is responsible for deciding how long to keep its own operational records where applicable.

8. Security

FluxPOS uses administrative access controls, credential-based authentication, PIN and password hashing, audit logging, and operational safeguards intended to reduce unauthorized access and preserve integrity of business data. No internet-connected platform can guarantee absolute security, but reasonable technical and organizational measures are applied to reduce risk.

9. Access, correction, and deletion requests

If your information was entered into FluxPOS by a specific business, you should contact that business first regarding access, correction, or deletion requests. If the request relates to the FluxPOS website, platform administration, or platform-controlled records, requests should be directed through the official FluxPOS support or administrative contact channel made available by the site operator.

10. Children’s privacy

FluxPOS is a business operations platform and is not intended for direct use by children. The platform is not designed to knowingly collect information directly from children through the public website for consumer-facing purposes.

11. Policy updates

Important operational note

Because FluxPOS supports offline-first point-of-sale operations, some information may temporarily exist on local business devices before it is synchronized to the server. Businesses using FluxPOS should ensure their own device access policies, staff controls, and backup practices are appropriate for that operating model.
